A Newborn Highlight Film and Heirloom Album for Baby William | Kewaskum, WI Newborn Studio

A newborn gallery is beautiful. But the moment I photograph for comes later, when parents sit down with an album in their laps, or press play on a film and watch their baby stretch and yawn again, months after those first weeks have flown by.

William's session is the best way I can show you what that looks like, from the morning he came into my Kewaskum studio to the album his family now holds.

Before every newborn session, I hold a design call with mama so I can get to know the whole family: what they do for work, what they love to do for fun, and what matters most to them.

That's how I learned William's dad is studying to be a pastor. Faith is at the center of their world, just like it is in mine, so I suggested we include a few poses with his dad's Bible.

Session Day in My Kewaskum Studio

Newborn sessions move at baby's pace, and William's was no different. My studio is kept warm and quiet, and we take breaks to feed, snuggle, and settle whenever he needs it. Mom and dad don't have to do a thing except relax. I take care of the posing, the wraps, and the details, so the morning feels calm instead of rushed.

Every pose is done with his safety and comfort first. If baby isn't loving something, we move on. There's always another sweet moment right around the corner.

His Highlight Film

Photos hold a moment still. A highlight film holds the way it felt. William's film gathers the little things you forget faster than you'd ever believe: the stretch after a feeding, the curl of his fingers, the yawn that took over his whole face.

Babies change so quickly in those first weeks. A film lets his parents see him at this size, moving and sleeping and being brand new, for years to come.

The Heirloom Album

After his session, I designed William's album with his family's favorite images from the day. This is the part I love most. It turns a gallery into something real, an heirloom you can hold that sits on the shelf instead of getting buried in a camera roll.

His parents won't have to wonder where those newborn photos went in ten years. They'll be right there, ready to pull out on his birthday.

More Than Digitals

I offer albums, wall art, and highlight films because I've watched what happens to images that only live on a phone. They get lost. Giving my families finished pieces means they get to enjoy their photos now, share them with grandparents, and keep them for the next generation. And it's one less thing on a new parent's plate.

To me, that's what this is about: preserving God's blessings and the moments you never want to forget.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a newborn highlight film?

It's a short film made from your newborn session: the stretches, yawns, tiny fingers, and quiet moments in your arms, set to music. It keeps the movement of those first weeks that a still photo can't hold.

Why choose an album instead of only digital files?

Digital files tend to stay on a phone or a hard drive. An album is something your family can hold, pass around at the holidays, and hand down. It's one less thing on your to-do list, too, because I design it for you.

Where is your newborn studio?

My newborn studio is in Kewaskum, and I welcome families from West Bend, Cedarburg, Mequon, Grafton, Port Washington, and across Southeast Wisconsin.
