Branding Photography for Small Businesses in Southeast Wisconsin (featuring Velvet Revival)
If you own a small business, you already know people want to see you, the person behind it. They want to see your face, your space, and the way you work before they ever walk through your door.
That’s exactly what branding photography does. And this fall, I got to create a branding session for someone I already adore working with: Stephanie Kaul, owner of Velvet Revival.

Meet Steph and Velvet Revival
Velvet Revival is a consignment boutique right here in Kewaskum, and if you read my fall and Christmas what-to-wear guide, you’ve already met Steph. She styled outfits for my minis this year, and I’ve been a fan of her shop ever since.
Steph opened Velvet Revival this past April, alongside a sourdough bakery. In her words, the boutique is a collective of pre-loved name brand and boutique brand women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and bags. She created it for women on the go who love style but don’t have time to sell their things online or host rummage sales.
Her racks carry sizes XS to 3X, with styles for every age. You can find all the details on Velvet Revival’s website.
How Her Branding Session Came Together
With a brand new shop, Steph needed fresh, professional images for her website. She also wanted a few interaction shots: Steph with her products and in her space, so customers could get a feel for the boutique before they visit.
So we shot right inside Velvet Revival. We captured Steph among her racks, working with the pieces she’s hand-picked, and the little details that make the shop feel like hers.
Those are the photos that tell a new customer exactly what to expect: a welcoming space, great finds, and the woman who chose every one of them.
I’m only sharing a few favorites here, because I want Steph to have plenty of fresh images to share with her customers. Keep an eye on Velvet Revival’s Instagram to see more.
Branding Sessions for All Kinds of Businesses
Every business is different, so every branding session is too. I come to you, so your photos show the real space your clients already know. Over the years, I’ve photographed branding sessions for:
- Massage therapists
- Nail technicians
- Estheticians and skincare pros
- Holistic and natural healing practitioners
- Salon and spa owners
- Banks and local insurance companies
- Builders and remodelers
Photos for Builders, Remodelers, and Real Estate Agents
I have a degree in architecture and spent over 12 years as a home and kitchen designer. Today, I photograph finished projects for builders, remodelers, and real estate agents.
That background gives me a different perspective on a jobsite. I notice the sightlines, the finishes, and the design details that a lot of photographers miss, so your work gets shown the way you meant it to be seen.
Headshots for You and Your Team
Need a fresh photo for your business cards, email signature, LinkedIn, or website? I photograph headshots in my studio, or I can come to you for a modern look with an elevated twist.
I also photograph headshot events for corporate offices and business groups. I bring the backdrop, or we use a well-lit area in your business, and your whole team is done in one visit.
What Branding Photos Can Do for Your Business
Good branding photos work hard for you long after session day. You can use them on:
- Your website and About page, so people feel like they know you before they reach out
- Instagram and Facebook, so you’re not scrambling for something to post
- Your Google Business Profile, which helps local customers find you
- Ads, flyers, and email newsletters
- Press features, podcasts, and event promos
- A phone photo can get you by for a while. But when your images match the care you put into your business, people notice.
What a Branding Session With Me Looks Like
We start with a conversation about your business, who you serve, and where you’ll use your photos. Then we plan a shot list together, so nothing important gets missed: you, your space, your products or services, and the little details that make your business yours.
Branding sessions happen on location at your business. I work with small businesses across Southeast Wisconsin, including Kewaskum, West Bend, Cedarburg, Mequon, and Grafton.
